Texas de Brazil - Memphis

My boss, and a few others went to eat at a restaurant in Memphis called "Texas de Brazil". It is awesome! They serve about 14 different types of meats which they bring to your table on big skewers and then slice off the amount you want. It is delicious!

Baxter Update

This little guy is growing like a weed. He is so much fun. Already, he has learned to play fetch, sit, stay, and lie down on command. I don't think that's too bad for only being 12 weeks old. Now, if we can only get the potty training thing down...

Guess Who?

Can anyone guess who is in the photo below? This photo was taken in Detroit, MI in March 1955.

HELP!!!

This year, I have the honor and pleasure of participating in MDA's Tupelo Lock-Up Day on May 14th to help "Jerry's Kids®". To reach my $1,000 goal I need your help!

I'd like to include you or your company on my list of contributors who are helping me reach my goal. Your donation would help MDA continue the important fight against muscular dystrophy. Check out my web page by clicking on the link above. There you'll find all kinds of information about MDA, and be able to make your tax-deductible donation on-line using your credit card.

MDA serves people in our community with neuromuscular disease by providing clinics, support groups, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, braces and communication devices, and summer camp for kids. MDA also funds research grants to help find treatments and cures for some 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages, right here in our community.

I sincerely hope that you'll take the opportunity to support MDA. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at danatbg@yahoo.com.

On behalf of the families MDA serves, thank you!

Hobe Sound Choir

Last Sunday, April 20, I drove over to Pell City, AL to hear the Hobe Sound choir. Several of my family members were also able to attend. My cousin, Joyce, was once again in the choir this year.
The choir did a great job and it was good to see some old friends as well.

Sasquatch

This past Saturday, I was summoned to Memphis to meet with my boss, his assistant, and a few others. We met at Big Foot Lodge in downtown Memphis. That is where I met "Sasquatch." I have never seen such an enormous burger in my life! It measured approx. 7-8 inches in diameter. It only cost $19.99 + tax. I took the following from their website:

"If you can finish the "Sasquatch" Burger in 60 minutes, without aid from others, you get the burger for free! You also get your picture on the Hall of Fame!

FAQ

How big is the Sasquatch burger?
Our Sasquatch Challenge Burger is 4lbs of fresh ground-chuck, two pounds of our custom made hamburger bun, and one and a half pounds of lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, and cheese...SEVEN AND A HALF POUNDS TOTAL...but the fries are optional.

How do you cook the Sasquatch and how long does it take?
We use 80/20 ground chuck then we cook and season it exactly the same way we do our regular burgers it just takes a whole lot longer about 40 minutes longer in fact."
