Tour de Memphis

Tonight, Jill, Heather, Ryan and I celebrated Ryan's birthday in Memphis by enjoying fine dining at Texas de Brazil and then taking a carriage ride through the historic downtown area. I learned a lot of history from the tour down the old streets passing by even older buildings.

Yes, Trolleys do still run in Memphis!

Meet Bo. It's ironic that he came from Lawrence County TN which is where we are from! He was born and raised on an Amish farm not far from where we all live.

Today, Jill and I decided to update the front room of the store. We removed a unit of white, homemade shelving,and painted the wall. I replaced the shelving with three etagere (étagère) towers that I recently purchased from the local Goody's store. I think it gives the store a much needed updated look. I have included before and after photos of the wall.

Church Renovation

Our church had some uninvited and unwelcomed guests known as the termite family visit a few years ago. Their presence developed some issues in the floor of the hallway. Yesterday saw the removal of the old flooring and replacement of new.

Cookout

Tonight we all got together for a cookout. It was cold outside but the fire kept us warm.

Ribbon Cutting @ All Seasons

Back in December the Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony at my shop. I just picked up these photos from the newspaper today.

Christmas Parade

Last night was the Christmas parade here in Lawrenceburg. This year Ryan and I combined our efforts on designing and building the float. The theme for the parade this year was "Christmas through a Child's Eyes"
