Tonight we all got together for a cookout. It was cold outside but the fire kept us warm.

Ribbon Cutting @ All Seasons

Back in December the Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony at my shop. I just picked up these photos from the newspaper today.

Here are a couple of arrangements of fresh flowers I have recently done for a local church.

Christmas Parade

Last night was the Christmas parade here in Lawrenceburg. This year Ryan and I combined our efforts on designing and building the float. The theme for the parade this year was "Christmas through a Child's Eyes"

Christmas in the Country

Christmas in the Country was held this past weekend here in Lawrenceburg. After sweet-talking the ladies at the Chamber of Commerce, I was able to squeeze in.

New Job

I guess it is time to start posting again...

I have purchased a shop in Lawrenceburg, TN and have relocated as well.

The pictures below will give you a glimpse of the shop after we had done some work.

At the time of purchase, the floors were covered with an orange-colored, industrial carpet. ewww... That had to go! Underneath, we discovered beautiful hard-wood floors. A lot of work has been done on this project already, but I have a long way to go! I plan to remove the white shelving and use only antique-looking furniture as my display pieces. Make sure to check out the desk. I went to the local Goodwill the other day to look for some cheap vases. Instead, I found this desk for $30!

The shop is an existing florist and gift shop. I am expanding it into a one-stop special occasions shops as well and will be carrying formal wear, social stationary, etc...

Hayride

Our church had a hayride Nov. 1. It was cold, but we had fun. As always when we are together, Jill and I had to pause for a moment and pose for the camera.

Samuel Luke

My nephew, Samuel Luke, was born September 8, 2008. 9lbs. 8oz. 21.5" long.
He is such a little cutie!

Happy Birthday Ethan!

Ethan turned 4 on Aug 23. I was finally able to be around for his birthday.

Ok, I'm really not sure why I'm posting this or why I even took these shots. Maybe it's out of boredom. I had just finished setting this tie wall and for some reason thought a photo shoot might be nice.

Meet Ceasar the Smiling Dog

Mom, and my sis, and I went to see some friends in Hattiesburg last weekend. They have this dog that smiles. It really worried me at first because I am not too fond of Chihuahuas to begin with, and I thought he was snarling at me. His owners assured me that all was good and he smiles at everyone.

Baxter @ 5mo.

Baxter is so much fun and a lot of company to have around. However, his behavior has been much less than desirable lately. I think he must be in his puppy "terrible two's"... Anyway, he basically is putting the "terror" in Terrier. ha ha He tried to destroy my sofa a few days ago and barely escaped my wrath. I should have taken a photo of the disaster he created in my living room, but I was too upset. I'm sure there will be more moments to photograph in the future. Now where did I place that dog trainer's number?....
